Wow, it certainly feels like 2020 is not going anyone’s way. & if it is… kudos to you, sis, I’m actually envious of you. The world seems to be falling apart right now, and yes, even mine has been shaken to its core. The past week has completely taken a turn, and it hurts to see so many people in pain and struggling physically, mentally, and financially. I never in a million years would have ever thought that I would see the day where people were fighting over toilet tissue and stockpiling on cheerios at Costco.
But here we are folks and its time to get serious about what is going on in the country. This IS happening here in our communities, and chances are you know someone affected by this virus. It’s not a Twitter meme anymore, Americans are getting infected, Schools are being transferred online, and businesses are closing their doors. With that being said, more now than ever, we need to be coming together (but not actually because #social-distancing) and do our part to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Self-quarantine is no longer optional, and it’s scary to think that we need to be locked up inside, but it is crucial for our health and the people around us. I’ll be the first person to say it, I’m nervous like REALLY nervous. I strive off of being around people, and now that is no longer an option for millennials. During the next couple of weeks, I will need to find new hobbies and activities to keep me entertained, so I figured I would share my list with all of you who might be out of ideas too.

This is a terrifying time for everyone, but the only way through is together by everyone pitching in and doing their part. In the meantime, I think its important to say that: It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to be mad. It’s okay to have feelings about this situation. Trust me, I’m upset too, I just got the email saying my college graduation has been canceled. But this quarantine is what we have to do to rejuvenate the health of our community. We WILL get through this! Fingers crossed that if I keep saying that phrase, everything will be okay and work itself out.
I hope this list will help you stay busy and productive during this time of social distancing. I’m keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers these next couple of weeks and hope that you may find peace during this hectic and overwhelming time. With that being said, I want to remind you that my email and instant messages are always open if you need someone to rant to or just need someone to help take your mind off of things!
Let me know in the comments if I missed any social distancing activities or forgot to put down one of your favorite shows!
