It’s finally the weekend whoop whoop!!
Recently I have had a ton of people ask me to make a travel guide for Tuscaloosa! After living here for a couple years now I have the inside scoop on all the places to go and things to do.
Airport:
This is by far the biggest inconvenience but hey gotta do what you gotta do. The airport is in Birmingham which is about 45 minutes away. The nice thing is that uber will pick you up at the airport or there are companies that will come grab you for like $40. The airport is super small so security is never a huge issue like it takes me an average of about 7 minutes to get through.
Quick eats Restaurants:
Taco mama- The Best Mexican spot in Tuscaloosa!
World of Beer- They have trivia night & giant pretzels
Blaze- Make your own pizza in less than 5 minutes
Buffalo Phil’s- The buffalo chicken dip is a must
Mugshots- By far the best burger in town
Nice sit down restaurants:
301 bistro- most instagramable restaurant
Chophouse- lots of seating for big group dinners
Deplamas- Intimate Italian restaurant, make a reservation so you don’t have to wait.
Five- Great atmosphere, great people, great food!
Brunch:
Rama Jama- A Tuscaloosa staple!
Heritage house- Cutest coffee house that makes the best baked oatmeal with strawberries
Turbo- The best avocado toast
Another broken egg- Beautiful view right on the side of the Tuscaloosa river
Shopping:
Fab’rik- my one stop shop for dresses, rompers and shirts!
South- The cutest graphic tees
Lavish- The best earring selection
Fun things to do:
Tailgate on the quad- Nothing beats Saturdays in T-Town
Midtown nails- The best nail salon in town
Breakout Tuscaloosa- Escape the room in 45 minutes
Downtown- Walk around and shop
Bama Belle Riverboat- Takes you around the river
Bryant museum- Learn about the history of football
