Happy rainy Monday Babes!
Yuck is the only way to describe this week’s funky weather…let’s just say I am not a happy camper when it is all grey and gloomy outside. The rain makes me want to just sit in bed and watch movies all day long, which is awful when I have a million things to do. As most people know, rain in the south does NOT mix well with the humidity leaving my hair in a huge rat’s nest. But living down here for the past three years I think I have figured out the ultimate hair care routine! Just a reminder that even though these products work for me, everyone has different hair types and they might not work for you. I currently use all of these products and fully endorse them. This is in no way a sponsored or paid post, I truly love these products and will only share items that I use on a regular basis. To shop these products, just click on the one you want to look at!
Treatment Oil: Moroccan Oil
This stuff is my holy grail. I have been using it non-stop for about six years and it has completely changed my hair. It is an argon oil that soaks right into your hair to give you more shine and long term conditioning. I put a pea sized portion in my hair right after I get out of the shower mixed with the anti-breakage treatment.
Anti-Breakage leave in treatment: Redken
My hair stylist recommended me this product a year ago and I am so happy that I ended up trying it out. It gives you protection against split ends and nourishes areas that need a little extra love. I take two pumps and work it into the ends of my damp hair. I saw a huge difference in my hair after a week of using it.
Deep Treatment Masque: Shea Moisture
When my hair needs a little extra TLC, I reach for this hair mask. After I wash my hair I use about half of the product in the packaging and use a wide tooth comb to evenly spread it out. I cover it with a shower cap and leave it for 30 minutes before washing it out. It makes my hair super soft and moisturizes the damaged parts.
Blow Dry Mist: Kristin Ess
I normally curl my hair but when I want to keep it straight I always reach for my blow dryer which is not great for my hair. But thank goodness this product helps save my hair and cuts down the time it takes to do it. This product helps smooth, seal and protect your hair from the heat. After I towel dry my hair, I mist about 5-7 pumps around my whole head and brush it with a round brush to make sure the product is spread evenly. A little goes a long way with this spray, one bottle will last me about a year
Nourishing Oil: Living Proof
I received a trial size with my ispy package a month ago and I just ordered the full size of it. It is super light and doesn’t hold your hair down which is soooo hard to find in a hair oil. It adds extra shine and decreases the frizz in your hair. A must have if you live somewhere with a lot of humidity.
Heat protectant: Tresemme
I never put a hot tool to my hair without using this miracle worker. This spray helps protect against the heat making sure it doesn’t damage or break it off. I spray a bunch of this all over my hair but especially on my ends when I’m waiting for my curler to warm up!
Plump for joy Dry shampoo: Not Your mother’s
Okay let’s be honest… Dry shampoo is the backbone behind every busy woman. I have tried at least six different types but this one take the cake. The reason I like this one the most is that it gives a little extra volume while taking away the two-day shine. I layer the top part of hair into sections and spray this about 5 inches away. Then I used my fingers to rub it in and fluffy it up. Plus, it is in a larger can making it last longer!
Surf Spray: Bumble and Bumble
This stuff gives the best beachy wavy like texture. If I am going for volume, I spritz some of this into my roots for some extra va-va-voom. It adds in some texture and lifts it up. You can use it with wet or dry hair and it works like a charm!
Coil hair ties
I started using these last year and man am I hooked! The coils hold all of my hair up in high ponies and they never slip down. I 100% recommend that you try these out!
Scrunchies
I love using these to do my big top knot buns and sectioning off my hair.
Clear hair ties
These are must if you like to do braids or party ponies!
Alligator Clips
Whenever I go for more structured curls I use these to hold my curls while they cool down. Curling them back up and clipping them to the side of my head allows them to hold them from.
I hope you guys end up loving these products as much as I do! Let me know what products you end up using!!
