Happy Monday Babes!
I’m feeling a little bit out of my comfort zone today sharing info about my life in a little update. Honestly its really difficult for me because I like to think I have it all together 24/7 but I’m human and sometimes it all falls apart. 2019 has been crazy the past couple of months and I have loved every second of it but rainy weather mixed with feeling overwhelmed with school has me losing a bit of my mojo. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to write a motivation post to help you all and myself stay on top of this week and kick it into gear with Spring break two short weeks away.
Make your bed
Starting off your morning strong is the key to having a successful day. I think we can all agree that getting out of bed is the hardest move of the day but once you’re up and moving with the lights on you instantly feel awake and alert. It takes about 30 seconds to make your bed & let’s face it nothing beats coming home after a long to a nicely made bed to curl up in!
Set deadlines
These are a game changer and work like a charm. When you have a set date that you have to accomplish a task you go out of your way to make sure that you get it done. The goal is make them realistic and once your write it down it will get you that extra push to get it done.
Reward yourself
Having a light at the end of the tunnel is a huge factor that makes me work a little bit harder. It doesn’t have to be something huge either: a couple minutes on social media, 5 minutes watching your favorite show or a sweet treat you have been looking forward to.
Unplug
Let’s be honest, our phones are by far our biggest distraction when it comes to getting our work done. The best way to stop making It a bad habit is to flip it over and put it in a place we can’t see it. Out of sight out of mind is my motto. By putting it to the side, I’m able to sit down and focus on what needs to be knocked off my to do list.
Reflect
Once the day is over and you are starting to unwind take a couple minutes to check through your to do list and see all that you have accomplished. It’s a great feeling looking back and seeing how much you have completed during the day and if you haven’t gotten done as much as you wanted leave it as a reminder to work even harder tomorrow.
If you’re waking up on the wrong side of the bed today here are some of my favorite graphics for a little extra motivation:
